Can we substitute the egg with buttermilk perhaps?

I wouldn't as the buttermilk isn't going to behave like eggs when cooked and won't provide the same structure to the brownies.

These are superb! Lovely strong banana flavour. For the frosting, I had some dulce de Lethe so whipped that into butter and icing sugar. Added the salt flakes, lovely! One to make again - thank you

Dulce de leche is so inspired! I have some in the cupboard, so I might use that. What quantities did you use for the butter and icing sugar, if you don’t mind sharing?

Hi Amir, unfortunately I didn’t measure it but at a guess around 100-150g of butter, with enough icing sugar to make a really firm buttercream, which I then loosened with the Dulce de leche ☺️
